If you are a low-league player (from platinum league to bronze/unranked in ladder) and you want you and your games to be featured in an upcoming weekly series casted by myself, leave a comment or drop me a PM. If you are going to post your replays for casting, send them in PMs. It is preferred (but not required) that these games are played after the Heart of the Swarm patch. DO NOT POST REPLAYS PUBLICLY.
The next Wood League Weekly casts are slated to take place by Sunday, June 16th.
Welcome.
Within this thread, you will find a catalog of casted replays, ranging from high-grandmasters face-offs to bronze league roflcakes. I am actively casting more replays. Make yourself at home: watch some videos, share it with friends, and leave me some comments. If you feel up to it, you can even post replays for me to cast. If you wish for your games to be covered in our weekly event, PM them to me.
I am not limiting the content of the casts to 1v1s or mid-to-high-level play. I will cast any skill level and any player count and team allocation. This means that I will do everything from the standard 1v1 matches to hour-long eight-player FFAs. I have no time cap on my YouTube channel, so video length isn't an issue. Keep this in mind when requesting a replay. I would also appreciate it if you actually include a download link to the replay in question, as that tends to help the process move along a bit more swiftly. Yes, some people forget that.
If you feel so inclined, I'd appreciate it if you leave some information about the players in the game. Did you guys meet in ladder for the first time when this game was played? What league was it played in? Did your phone explode with 69 texts and 42 calls while you were playing and cause a wrist fracture as you whipped your mouse across the room and into your colon, resulting in your unstoppable army of Colossi and Stalkers to be reduced to smoking ashes thanks to a freak nuclear strike? I won't know if you don't tell me - so tell me!
I'll add casts to the thread as I post them to YouTube. If you have any feedback pertaining to the casting itself, do let me know. All casts are available in 720-24p HD. Many casts are in a 16;9 resolution, though in some cases my resolution is different thanks to different patches. Naturally, expect a good amount of quality to be dropped thanks to YouTube's terrible compressor.
Thank you for your time and for your interest. I will hear out well-formed complaints and criticism, so if you have a problem, feel free to articulate it to me via a post, a comment, or a PM. If you're interested in playing melee games or have something to tell me in real time, you can add me on AIM (Pr0nogo), MSN Messenger (Pronogo@hotmail.com), or SCII (Pronogo.234 - I am only active in the North American region). Of course, I would appreciate it if you take the time to rate, comment on, and share the videos that you found interesting.
About me, the caster
Quote
My moniker is Pr0nogo, and my name is Darion Paone. No, you cannot facebook me.
I am a college student studying literature and education, with the tentative goal of becoming a high school English/literature teacher in Finland. I reside in Massachusetts, USA. I hail from Warsaw, Poland. I am a modder, a writer, and a campaign creator. I have approximately two years of casting experience (including things I did before SCII), seven years of voice acting experience, eight years of modding experience, ten years of writing experience, and fourteen years of WCII, SC:BW, WCIII, and SCII mapping experience. Take that with a grain of salt, however, as I'm only eighteen years old. I hold Blizzard and the rest of the gaming industry in contempt, and I assign blame to capitalism as the acting conspirator against developers placing actual effort into their products. I do not plan to enter the industry as it stands.
I find SCII melee to be boring, dull, repetitive, monotonous, and asinine. I have thus taken it upon myself to find the most provocative, insulting, facepalm-worthy, and hilarious games, as well as the most disgusting, bad, and inane players that this game's ladder has to offer, in an effort to counteract the monotony of SCII (and to bring some measure of entertainment to an otherwise disinteresting game). That is where the StarCraft II casts were born. Taking various pointers and cues from IskatuMesk (known as Doactacularlicious on YouTube), who no longer casts SCII replays, I begot my own bastardisation of his style of casting. I have gone through three computer setups, two microphones, and several hundred dollars since I began casting games in mid-January of 2013.
I hope you find something here to your liking. Please feed me any suggestions and cocks you might have on your mind.
Till next time, gentlemen!
Co-Casts All co-casts are recorded with Tsar (officertidwell@gmail.com), at the behest of the audience and the fickle chance of convenience.
About Special Casts: "Special Casts" refer to specific videos or series of videos that often revolve around one central theme. Common examples of this could be following a specific player throughout a preset amount of matches, or team games with special rules (e.g. only Zerglings). They may also include arcade maps such as Warlords & Merchants. Special Casts are not always co-casted, but expect a good number of them to be. We are open to suggestions for future special casts, so post your ideas!
Quote from name:Placing Mareq into StarCraft II
In this series of special casts, SanshuJuro (now known as Tsar) and I follow Mareq (a.k.a. Mark) through his five placement matches. What follows is brain-damaging.
Exactly what kind of Zerg players is Blizzard cultivating here?
What we feared may be a repeat of the previous game turns out to be even worse.
Penis versus penis! How low will you go, Browder? How low will you go?
Mm, Roaches. Right ideas go wrong in this short but sweet (maybe I should have saved that potential pun for Game 3) placement match.
The outcome of this game was certainly not expected after the first attack. What the fuck happened?

Wood League Weekly Week 7 AliasRaider vs Tdub PvT (WoL)
Post has been edited 53 time(s), last time on Jun 10 2013, 9:21 pm by Pr0nogo.
I watched the first one and it was funny as hell, all the unit names and the tone of it, I'll watch more and hope the feeling stays. My favorite parts are probably your reactions to that dumbass changeling sound that blizz set to play globally.
About Wood League Weekly: Wood League Weekly is a weekly event held by Pr0nogo and Tsar (formerly known as SanshuJuro). Being low-league players ourselves, we wished to find players of skill levels comparable to our own (and in some cases higher or lower), and broadcast their endeavours across the Internet, shedding some light on the hilarious antics of lower-league games. After showcasing one game each from the two players we feature during the event, we pit them against one another in a battle royale of epic proportions - where the loser is declared that week's Wood League Winner.
Interested? Feel free to share your games with us! All games are co-casted by Pr0nogo (Pronogo@hotmail.com) and Tsar (officertidwell@gmail.com). Put 'Wood League Weekly' in the subject line so we know what the email's for, or send me a private message using SEN's forums.
Cheers!

A new cast has been made available. This is a cast of a live game, and was recorded as-is, much like all other casts. That means that there are no more edits. The microphone audio stream has been rebalanced and there is much less static this time around. Enjoy!
Two more are up. Things were a bit slower this week because I had no requests, no time, and my friend's only free hour was during a birthday party. Sorry, no hour-long co-cast.
I've uploaded a lot more than I thought I would. The entire process took no small amount of time. Check the OP for more videos. Erik, all of your casts are done. I didn't successfully cast the replay of you winning against the Zerg player who built four Hatcheries at the beginning because the mic audio was corrupted.
For those who are interested, I've recorded my experience placing into Heart of the Swarm. I play terribly, as predicted. You can view that by clicking here for the first part and here for the second.
If you're still looking for more, you can check out my first look at the Heart of the Swarm's editor here. It's terrible.
Added four new videos to the playlist and the OP. They're all videos of Kami from TL being silly because nobody else requested anything. Sooner or later I'm going to clear out of his list and if I don't have any requests I'm not going to continue. My time is better spent elsewhere.
I'm interested. One suggestion I have for you is do a little research on the players before you cast the game. It's always nice to know the skill level and/or play style of the players we're watching.
We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
I feel like you should polish your casting skills a bit. Here's the annoyances I've noticed:
- It's distracting when you draw boxes and zip over the screen with the mouse all the time. - It's hard to follow when you scroll / move screen in short intervals. - It's better * to comment on the supposed strategy/build/decision making and evaluate viable options for each player in the current state of the game. * Better than just describing what's happening on-screeen. - Find something useful you can talk about in the early game.
Wood League Weekly is live! Week 1 holds three games for your enjoyment. Note that there is no Wood League Winner's match - the rivalry between Sirius and Mareq will be decided in next Monday's Wood League Weekly. Check the OP for the new section!
Hope you guys enjoy; leave your games for us to cast if you have them!
Five new casts have been added to the 1v1 section!
Here's a rundown of what you can expect: Upload #1 - We wrap up some unfinished low-league nonsense with Mareq's third showcased game - this time, against Terran player Yannage. PvT on Akilon Flats. It's the only game in this batch that isn't using Heart of the Swarm. Upload #2 - Say hello to MissPringles from TeamLiquid, a.k.a. Geney - a Grandmasters league Terran. She dukes it out against fellow GM Terran raZieL. TvT on Akilon Wastes. Upload #3 - An exciting PvP on Bel'Shire Vestige awaits you as WhiteRa, the Ukranian GM player, goes Pylon to Pylon against PrimeLoT - a Masters league Protoss player. Upload #4 - We meet up with Grandmasters players Breach and Awake and watch as they make use of Swarm Hosts, Vipers, Hellbats, Widow Mines, and various other silly antics. Just your average TvZ on Newkirk Precinct, I suppose. Upload #5 - For those of you who have watched my casts since the early days, you may recognise the name xOKoreanAir. Now in high-Masters, he attempts to execute a beatdown against Masters Protoss player RockEr. A PvZ (KoreanAir being the Z) on Newkirk Precinct.
Be on the lookout for Wood League Weekly - coming this Tuesday! As always, let me know if there's a specific game you want casted, and I'll make sure it's done. Enjoy!

Wood League Weekly - week 2 is now live! Check the second spoiler tag under the appropriate section in the OP.
Another Masters-league game from xOKoreanAir is now available in the 1v1 section, as well, in case you were looking for something that wasn't disgusting.
